Today is Put a Poem in Your Pocket Day, where we’re all encouraged to carry a poem in our back pockets and share it with those around us. Here’s the description from Poets.org:

The idea is simple: select a poem you love during National Poetry Month then carry it with you to share with co-workers, family, and friends. You can also share your poem selection on Twitter by using the hashtag #pocketpoem.

It may sound silly, but it’s the kind of exercise that can make you stop and think about your little part of the world in a different way: exactly the kind of thing that breeds creativity. What poem will you carry around in your pocket today?
